Why I Choose Music Production As My Hobby?

It is about a great support system and being an imaginative person...

Hey there!

8 years had passed and I feel grateful for having this talent when I thought that it was IMPOSSIBLE to do.

But not all things are impossible. They are POSSIBLE.

I started to wonder why I felt like this hobby was fascinating but at the same time, it took many years, efforts, and hard work to master everything.

And I’ll be talking about Music Production. That’s what I do right now besides being a busy student.

I started to play piano at 12 and guitar at 14, but it did not go well as if I had trouble managing my time back then, and I am not serious about it. My family from my father’s side came from a musician family, where my grandfather used to be a violinist back then.

I was amazed when my father opened up about that story. I wanted to be like him, I said to myself back then.

I was introduced to music production at 13 years old when one of my friends introduced me to an app called BandLab and showed off their music skills.

I was impressed. I don’t know how they do it and I was curious.

They taught me how to play with this app and walla! I’m getting used to it. The arrangements, drum patterns, and many other things. Now I know how music was produced.

Year by year I stuck with this app and listened to some songs from Avicii, Kygo, Alan Walker, Marshmello, etc. I am an EDM lover, so I always imagined that I also can create my own EDM songs with my creativity.

When I was 16, everything changed…

I started to learn about FL Studio, a digital audio workstation (DAW) that I use right now in my production. I was not familiar with it and started a course with the experts to get more knowledge about it.

I was very consistent and determined because all that I wanted to create or to do, has come to reality. I could hear the differences between my first track in the BandLab app and my recent track in FL Studio.

A very outstanding, yet surprising result.

This is it. If you want to know what makes you very consistent at that time, there’s only one - the things that you love to do every single time until it becomes a habit in your daily life.

Those 8 years in music production have already paid off all my hard work from the first day until today. Making music for my friends who do not have any basic knowledge of music theory, was worth it after all.

I thank my teachers, my parents, and friends who introduced me to this music industry and finally made my songs with my creativity.

“Your story awaits. Seize the pen. Write your masterpiece.”
