You're Not Tired of It?
Break your phone addiction, be addicted to something good!
Let me ask you one question…
Are you tired of being addicted to something that can kill your progress?
Are you tired of being stuck with your life right now?
Yes? You answered that.
Technology dominates the world nowadays and we always see people being stuck with their so-called ‘friends’ in their daily lives.
You know what I mean.
It is all about phone addiction.
Even children under 10 or 5 are influenced by this kind of technology now, and it is not good.
There are many side effects IF the parents never care about their responsibility towards their children.
They cried? Give them the phone.
They became stubborn and never listened to you? Give them the phone.
Look, you made it even worse than what you expected.
But I don’t want to talk about what will happen in several years, what happen to them.
This is not only for children but for you also and I don’t care if you are a teenager, an adult, etc.
Why are you not making any progress?
Scrolling. Entertainments. Useless contents.
I will talk about my own perspective/opinion on why kids are easily influenced by this stuff.
But, not now. This might take a while since it is a serious question.
Kids nowadays are unlike our childhood days back then.
To detox, you must train your discipline.
Build a habit. That’s it.
Once you are stuck with your new healthy habit, I guarantee that your screen time will be decreased from 8 hours to maybe 2 to 3 hours in a day.
I did this before and it works. I only spent 3 hours on my phone after learning these skills.
Hard? No.
Don’t be afraid you will miss all of the trends nowadays.
I believe that you don’t have to care for it. Things come and go.
As Iman Gadzhi said, the only way to become consistent is to turn on that ‘Monk Mode’.
What is the ‘Monk Mode’?
A question you might ask.
Monk mode is a period of enhanced focus, discipline, and productivity where you commit yourself to completing a goal.
This is why, at first, you must find 1 or 2 hobbies to keep you distracted from your phone.
Read something. Hit the gym. Gardening. Cleaning your room.
Your hobby should not be that hard to do. Do the easy ones.
Here’s how I turn on my Monk Mode:
1. Keep your phone silent or turn on airplane mode. This not only helps to decrease your screen time, but it will increase your productivity.
2. Find a less distracting or quiet workplace. Most people said that their work finished quickly when there was no distraction.
3. Isolate yourself. Learn to say ‘no’ to everything and you should know that you have your own time.
4. Disappear for 3 to 6 months. You will reduce your time to go out and do something that you want to become the best version of yourself.
5. Meditate. The most important thing in our daily life. It helps you to reach the peace of mind.
6. Schedule your routine. For example, sleep at 9 PM and wake up at 5:30 AM.
7. Pick a goal and set your deadline. Why? So that you can focus on that work.
8. Lastly, discipline yourself. Cut off bad habits and create a good habit.
That is how. It looks very easy, but one thing I tell you…
Monk Mode is not easy…
Because some bad habits are tough to break, I understand.
Take your time to detox it slowly. There is no need to rush.
Once you have practiced turning on your Monk Mode, your life will be different after that.
There are no excuses like “I don’t have time for this!”
Scrolling phone for 8 hours? Seriously?
I was in your shoes back then and I don’t even mean what Monk Mode is.
But when I feel like I started to hate my life, that is where I create a new life.
And I even fall in love with my new life right now.
A question for you but I don’t want your answer…
Do you want to change or be stuck with your life now?
